الدكتور فريد يغنم
A graduate of the American University of Beirut, Dr. Farid Yaghnam completed his specialist training in the United States.
He was the first Jordanian plastic surgeon. He worked at the main military hospital before moving into private practice.
الدكتور غيث فرحان شبيلات
American board certified, Dr. Ghaith Farhan Shubailat was the first head of plastic surgery at King Hussein Medical City.
He established a scientific, advanced approach to plastic surgery, raised the specialty’s standing across its fields, and opened the way for outstanding surgeons to join the specialty. He attracted talented trainees to the programme at King Hussein Medical City, which continued to train new plastic surgeons each year.
After retiring from the Royal Medical Services, he continued in private practice. He helped establish Jordan’s international presence in plastic surgery as a full member of the international society of plastic surgeons, and was appointed to the Senate.
الدكتور نائل جميل العجلوني
A graduate of the American University of Beirut, Dr. Nael Jamil Al-Ajlouni held several administrative positions in the Royal Medical Services and was appointed Minister of Health.
Remembered for his knowledge, character, and dedication, he contributed to plastic and reconstructive surgery and trained many surgeons. Despite his illness, he continued operating and providing charitable care to patients in need.

Dr. Mughnam Ayed Shahateet graduated from universities in Turkey and joined the Jordanian Armed Forces at King Hussein Medical City.
He held a British surgical fellowship, joined the plastic surgery programme, and later became its head. His interests included microsurgery and hand surgery, and he completed specialist training in the United States with leading microsurgeons of the time.
With his medical team, he performed limb replantations that were among the first of their kind at the time. He later continued in private practice and was known for his kindness and care for his patients.

Dr. Adel Haddad graduated from universities in Greece and returned to work at King Hussein Medical City.
He held a British surgical fellowship and joined the plastic and reconstructive surgery programme at King Hussein Medical City, later heading the department. He took a particular interest in burns care and spent a year training in the United States.
He led the burns unit at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre at King Hussein Medical City, the first specialist centre for burns treatment. He was appointed to the Senate and continued working in private practice.

Dr. Abdul Salam Abu Al-Failat graduated from the University of Pavia in Italy and held a Swiss fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
A founder and former president of the Pan Arab Association of Plastic Surgeons, he published scientific work in plastic surgery and worked in private practice. He was known for his good character, warmth, and integrity.

A fellow of the British College of Surgeons, Dr. Ziad Yahya Al-Kayali worked in both the public and private sectors.
He was remembered for his good character and charitable work.

Dr. Imad Obeidat joined the Jordanian Armed Forces at King Hussein Medical City, where he completed general surgery training and earned his specialist qualification and British fellowship in general surgery.
He joined the plastic surgery programme at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre at King Hussein Medical City and earned the Jordan Medical Council qualification in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He was known for his deep faith, dedication, and commitment to his patients’ comfort. A loyal friend to all, he was lost at a young age.

Dr. Awni Abu Al-Lail served in the Jordanian Armed Forces at King Hussein Medical City, completing his general surgery training and specialist qualification.
He joined the plastic surgery programme at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre at King Hussein Medical City and earned the Jordan Medical Council qualification in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dedicated to his work and craft, he served his patients diligently and was loyal to everyone around him. He died at a young age while still in service, loved by those who knew his kindness and warmth.
